AI for malaria parasite detection

Malaria diagnosis still relies on a trained microscopist reading blood films by eye, and trained microscopists are scarce. This project builds AI tools that find and classify malaria parasites in slide images to support that work.
Validate and label parasites in blood-film images to build reliable training data.
Apply ML and computer-vision models to detect and classify parasites.
Research and iterate on existing models to improve them.
