Data Analyst · Data Scientist · Kigali, Rwanda

I turn health and program data into decisions people can act on.

I build Power BI dashboards, analyse survey and operational data with SQL, Excel and Python, and train computer-vision models for medical imaging. My work sits where public health, government data and machine learning meet, across Rwanda and Nigeria.

Profile

Analyst by training, researcher by habit.

I started in IT support and database work at the Nigerian Communications Commission, moved into government health and education analytics in Kaduna State, and now support Rwanda's national data governance work at Cenfri. Alongside that I publish applied ML research on medical images from low-resource settings.

Most of my work starts with a question from someone who is not a data person: a ministry planner, a programme manager, a clinician. I scope the question, check the data is fit for it, do the analysis, and hand back something they can use, usually a dashboard or a short briefing.

On the research side I care about models that work with the data Africa actually has: small MRI cohorts, microscope slides from local labs, and limited annotation budgets.

  • Stakeholder-first reporting for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Data quality, validation and documentation built into the workflow
  • Reproducible analysis with Python, SQL and version control

What I do

Three ways I can help a team.

Each one is backed by work I have delivered. Follow the links for the detail.

Analytics & BI reporting
